Markeur divest its car damage repair business Autoschadehuis

A part of a strategic portfolio review Markeur Holding bv decided to divest Autoschadehuis bv, its car damage repair business. With 115 employees in 9 workshops Autoschadehuis is the largest body repair chain in the Holland provinces. The car damage repair operations differ significantly from the other Markeur Businesses, as Multi Lease and the Motorhuis car dealerships. And as part of Markeur Autoschadehuis noticed limitations in the workflow from other lease enterprises and car dealers. As independent enterprise Autoschadehuis will be able to leverage its technical skills as larger chain and to position itself broader as approved damage repair shop for multiple car brands beyond the Motorhuis brands.

Strategique was engaged to prepare the divestment and disentaglement, to prepare the relevant documentation, to identify and negotiate with relevant buyers and to structure the transaction with the ultimate buyer Aurelia Automotive bv. As the remaining Markeur businesses will continue as important workflow suppliers for Autoschadehuis Markeur will maintain a minority participation.
