Acquisition of Hoza by Rotom Europe
Hoza, a leading manufacturer of roll containers and metal carriers has been taken over by Rotom Europe B.V. in Son en Breugel (near Eindhoven) and the commercial director of Hoza Logistic Solutions, Mr. Klaas B. Oolders.
Rotom facilitates companies with logistical resources for transportation and storage in 9 countries in Europe. By merging the two companies it creates a strong metal line which serves the European market through 15 own branches. The turnover of the group herewith goes towards the € 100 MLN and the number of employees will be 400, of which 125 in the Netherlands. Arjan Kuiper CEO Rotom Europe: "We have been doing a lot of business in Roll containers, but we often outsource production to China or Eastern Europe. With the acquisition of Hoza we can produce in-house, shorten delivery times and serve the high-end market."
Hoza is strong in the development and production of roll containers and has its own engineering and prototype department. In 2014 there has been built a new production facility of 22,000m2, equipped with a modern production line in Scheemda, Groningen. The company focuses on several market sectors such as Food and Non Food Retail, E-Commerce, Post and Parcel, Flora and Industrial companies. In addition to the production the company takes care of the customers through repair, maintenance and rental activities. Hoza Logistic Solutions will operate as an independent company under its own brand name which will make use of the network and services of Rotom Group.
Strategique was engaged by Rotom to assess the opportunity versus alternatives, to set up the business planning with reorganization and synergies, and to explore the risks involved. We negotiated with the previous owner and financiers to structure the transaction, drafted the initial agreements and revised the legal documentation.
